Teachers
and students at GASC often make contributions of time and
talent to our local communities. These contributions take
on various forms including serving food at the local Soup
Kitchen, making a promotional video for the Girl Scouts
or Junior Achievement, designing posters for the Shelter
of Flint, and organizing food drives.They have also collected Toys for
Tots for distribution to children in pediatric wards,
built flower boxes at the Farmer's Market, welded
holiday sculptures for the Flint Cultural Center, polished
the gymnasium floor at the Urban League, participated
in recycling drives and much, much more.
At
GASC we believe that community service goes hand-in-hand with
project-based learning. If you have an idea to assist a non-profit
with a meaningful learning project for students, contact us
